Frequently Asked Questions
Is Covert Surveillance legal?
Covert surveillance is indeed legal. All of our investigations are conducted in full compliance with UK law. The Grey Eye Group will never operate outside these legal boundaries and whilst not mandatory to do so, we work in compliance with the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA).
Is all evidence and information gathered stored securely and confidentially?
All information collected is managed with the highest level of attention and stored securely. We guarantee that no details obtained during your investigation will be shared with any third party, ensuring that your case is handled with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Your data is held in line with UK data protection laws and is only held as long as required. We are registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
Will an Individual know they are under surveillance?
A common concern for many clients is the fear that the subject will become aware of the investigation and discover the link to The Grey Eye Group. Our surveillance operatives have honed their skills through extensive experience in high-pressure environments. They are experts at conducting surveillance without detection and using their expertise to collect intelligence and evidence discreetly. If a person does become aware they are being followed no information will be given to the individual and the operative will simply vacate the area.
How much do our Surveillance and Investigation services cost?
We offer a competitive price of £45 plus VAT per operative for surveillance and/or investigation deployment. Our deployment is a minimum of 5 hours, which would total £270. However, each case has its own individual merits and prices may vary from case to case depending on bespoke needs. The Grey Eye Group are committed to offering competitive prices within the industry and ensuring we remain affordable for all budgets.
What is GPS Vehicle Tracking?
GPS vehicle trackers log the destinations a vehicle visits. For this, we require the vehicle's registration number, make, model, colour, and where it is parked overnight and/or during the day. Once the tracking device is installed, we are able to monitor its movements in real-time or review past locations. At the end of the tracking period, a hard copy of all the recorded data will be provided. This information will help identify a vehicles movements, enabling you to deploy surveillance and gather conclusive evidence.
Will GPS Tracking tell me who is in a vehicle?
No. GPS vehicle trackers only confirm the movement and locations of a vehicle at a particular time or day. This does not identify who was in the vehicle. Our Surveillance services would support with more conclusive evidence.
What happens if the GPS Tracker is discovered?
Our team has extensive expertise in installing GPS trackers on various types of vehicles, minimising the likelihood of detection. Nevertheless, there is a always a risk that the tracking device may be discovered if a vehicle undergoes maintenance in a garage and work is carried out near the device’s location. In such an event, the GPS tracking device can be remotely wiped of all data, rendering it unusable to the finder. The GPS tracker bears no labelling or identification that links it to The Grey Eye Group, ensuring it cannot be traced back to us or you, the client.
How much does our Vehicle GPS tracking services cost?
We offer a competitive price of £300 plus VAT per week (£360). This includes the installation and removal of the GPS tracker.
